AltGreen Research emerged as a spin-off from another company when Ward Spangenberg recognized that his expertise and network could have a greater impact by providing information security and business consulting services, rather than continuing to develop Big Data solutions. With technology constantly evolving, many companies are not yet ready to fully invest in building their own security teams. Even those willing to invest often struggle to find the necessary talent and lack a reliable source for guidance. Motivated by these insights, Ward established AltGreen Research, aiming to align his extensive knowledge with clients’ needs and connect them with other expert consultants.

Founded in 2018, AltGreen Research has since partnered with numerous clients who otherwise might not have had access to a qualified security professional. We provide the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced CISO and security team without increasing organizational headcount. Many organizations do not require a full-time CISO but need an independent security expert to lead their cybersecurity efforts, develop robust security programs, and ensure the achievement of critical security milestones.
